Beach drops Speedo ban

April 30, 2005 CAPE MAY, N.J. (AP)Come on in, Speedo wearers, the water's fine: Your skimpy little swimsuits are legal now. For more than 30 years, this quaint little Victorian-themed resort at the southern tip of New Jersey said no to "skintight, formfitting or bikini type'' bathing attire on males over the age of 12.
It was so comforting to know there was one place in the United States that was safe from Speedos. I broke up with a boy in high school for wearing one of those out in public after I specifically told him that I wouldn't be seen with him in one. The horrors of Speedos are just too numerous to mention, and I need to go bleach my memory now. ICH.
